i'm mad. i just discovered that the only way for me to watch my favorite pbs show (this old house) is to get up at 5am on Friday mornings. yes, and that's for re-runs. i realized i have also been missing another favorite...history detectives. and yes, you guessed it, not on my pbs channel either. grrrrr! i became addicted to these shows living in CS without cable. i got cable so i could get pbs, damn it, and they aren't showing my favorites. what's a girl to do?
on a much, much happier note...i have a green thumb! the african violets aunt virginia gave me are producing new leaves like crazy. after the move they were on death's door and now they look great! plus my kalanchoe cuttings have already produced some roots. it was a last ditch effort to save the poor plant after it got stem rot. i took 4 or 5 cuttings and put them in water last week.
after writing that bit, i think i might need to retract that "i have a green thumb" statement. it seems that the trend is for me to ruin the plant and THEN green it back to life. i almost killed the violets and i did kill the kalanchoe...oh well, this weekend i'm trying upside down tomatoes:)
